Well Hell
Nope. Damn thing didn’t stay dead. Came right up out of the pond like Jason Voorhees and started to wreak havoc in my inbox.
So.
Not So Wordless Wednesday VI- Wednesday Lives.
We have been outside for hours and hours each day this week. Sunday was four hours, and Monday and Tuesday were 6 hours each. The kids are loving it, and so am I. Air. Sun. Green. The new photo in the header is of weeds in the back yard. Weeds are only plants that we didn’t put somewhere on purpose. These are beautiful, and they’re everywhere.
I appreciate the fact that the previous owners left shit everywhere, because it made it easy for me to find shaped pavers to place out so Livvie could “jump on shapes.” Jumping on shapes is a big deal, and we did a lot of it. I used sidewalk chalk to color the shapes and make them cheerful instead of gray.
Most of my seeds survived despite the best efforts of my son.
Even though Jonas didn’t allow for much sleeping, I got to spend 4 nights in the same bed as Rich.
My mother’s rental car after her accident was a Chevy HHR, and she thinks it’s awesome. She’s a Chevy hater.
We received loads of lovely condolences from very good friends, and I realized again how many people really love us.
The Bradford Pears are in bud.
My kid farted yesterday and told me her butt burped.
I got to watch the roosters across the street fight over a gal yesterday, and shortly after that little eyeful a woman on a horse trotted by.
My kid tripped and fell, and within a couple of minutes I looked up and saw this:
and laughed my ass off.
So it’s your turn now. What saved your week from being a complete shitstorm?

Viviana finally started giving me kisses too- before, she gave them only to daddy! Thats about all I have for now- the rest is crap. But thats a pretty good one.
You guys get kisses? Unfair. I do get headbutts though. Guess that’ll do.
zoe wrote a love letter at school yesterday to a cat named sailor that we met at the shelter. sailor is an all white DSH, about 8 years old.
i found 2 treats for both noah and TT’s medicines, so now they happily scarf down the meds and i don’t have to pill anyone.
it has been sunny and near 60, though today was a bit colder, i have been able to walk for an hour every day this week.
zoe and i cleared the front garden.
ozzie was a great mensch today and saved a multi-family playdate from the crabbies by allowing the little sisters to chase and catch him, a game he normally hates, but he really stepped up to the plate for the cranky little ones.
Ozzie saved the day because that’s what he does. He’s a quiet superhero who will do great things.
Was a pretty sunny day. I get to eat pizza for dinner and managed to get some errands accomplished. Also I slept in until noon.
Oh man. Sleeping in. What’s that feel like?
My daughter went to bed without fuss and was asleep before 8 pm tonight.
It was 76 and sunny today (although I had to work until 2).
I found out I may get a nice big tax refund – from 2007!
The rest of my week was pretty craptastic, but it’s nice to have a reason to stop and think about a few good things, too. Hope your week improves from here on out.
Oh the found money thing is great. I’m very happy to hear that. Good deal.
-our new flat screen LCD TV came on Monday, our 1st. wow.
-found out today that I’ll be meeting on Friday with a bunch of the shareholders of/at the firm where I’d like to be employed.
-had an excellent rehearsal tonight and got tossed some additional solo material.
I miss your voice. You should call me and sing.
Well I had a nice time making pinecone birdfeeders with the boys the other day.
I made a tasty pot of beans.
The beadwork I donated for my SIL’s charity actually sold for more than the base price so that was nice.
I am actually doing mostly ok with limiting my spending on discretionary items to save up for a family trip and not finding it too painful to budget.
What are these “discretionary items” of which you speak?
What kind of beans?
Many things kept my week from being a complete shit storm, not the least of which is reading my best friend is taking care of herself for a change. I also found some toy hand grenades, now all I have to do is paint them like Easter eggs. Remember the dinosaur skeleton I kept on my computer? The chicken Easter basket complete with grenades will have a place of honor in my new store. The kids are doing well in school, the weather is finally decent, (no more snow), and I am being very productive in the job hunting department.
Anything in this area?
Can you stand another work-related one from me? Got this in an e-mail from a parent:
Devin does not like to wake up for school so today I asked him, “what do you like at school?” He immediately said, “when me goes with Betsy!” Asked him the same thing at dinner and same answer!
That has to feel fantastic.
