The Lowdown

I started this Blog on Blogspot in February of 2006 as a place to dump my brain when I felt like I had something to say. In the beginning it was more of a journal that was public. Over the years It’s become a place for me to chuck personal essays into the webisphere without the pesky irritation of having to submit them for publishing.

I write. It’s what I do. Sometimes it’s shit, and sometimes I’m delighted with it. You’re going to get both here, because I often go back to look at the bad to see what I can learn from them so I won’t repeat the same mistakes.

I welcome all comments and urge you to take a moment to leave one if you love or hate a post. I try to follow every link if a commenter is a blogger as well.

I’m 40 years old, and I’m a mother of two. I live with my husband and children in rural Central North Carolina, and Motherhood is my only job at the moment. It’s more than enough to keep me busy. I might talk about the kids on this site, but this is absolutely not a “Mommy Blog.” If you’re looking for one of those, keep moving.

I cuss, a lot. I also have a tendency to spew my opinion on matters if something pisses me off. If you agree or disagree, again, please take the time to let me know. However-

This is a friendly place. I am by nature a friendly person. I detest ugly.

Please don’t be ugly.

Enjoy the reading.
